Velodysée

The velodyssée is a bike path that passes through Contis. It is more than 1200km long and runs from Roscoff in Brittany to Hendaye in the Basque Country. About 70 of the journey is on car-free lanes. For cycling enthusiasts, you can walk this trail in the heart of the pine forest and close to the coast.

Visits not to be missed

The lighthouse of Contis

To enjoy a magnificent panorama of the forest and the Landes coast, almost 50 m above sea level, you only have to climb the 183 steps of the Lighthouse of Contis. It is easily accessible from the beach or bike path or from the beach.

The Pilat dune

Don’t finish your stay in the Landes without taking a short detour through the Dune du Pilat. The largest sand dune in Europe, this site is breathtaking for lovers of beautiful landscapes. The effort of the climb, by the steps or the sand, will be greatly rewarded.
